Promotional DVD starring Michelin Star Chef Paul Heathcote
the brief:
Küppersbusch approached iceni to create a promotional DVD showcasing their high-end kitchen appliances and demonstrating the brilliant ġkotherm catalytic converter.

The DVD would launch a major brand awareness campaign encompassing print advertising and sponsorship of the new series of BBC's Masterchef.

the strategy:
We developed 'Design & Functionality', a TV channel concept with 3 stand-alone programmes: an introduction to the brand; an overview of the Küppersbusch range; and a detailed explanation of their ġkotherm oven. The programmes were linked with a branded channel ident.

The first programme features Michelin-starred chef Paul Heathcote at his Longridge restaurant. Paul talks frankly about the industry and why Küppersbusch appliances meet the demands of the commercial kitchen. The vibrant, high pressure environment of the commercial kitchen contrasts with Paul's interview in the quiet of the restaurant just before opening.

The second programme was filmed at the Teka UK head office in Milton, in their working kitchen and state of the art showroom. The hi-tech construction and beautiful design of the Küppersbusch range was communicated through stylistic shots and smooth, high quality graphics. It's a series of eye catching images: stunning design, industry leading innovation and unrivalled German quality.

The final programme shows Paul in his kitchen at home. He's had Küppersbusch appliances in his kitchen for more than 10 years, and they still look great! We filmed Paul cooking one of his favourite recipes and talked to him about his ġkotherm oven, explaining why a professional chef chooses Küppersbusch for his kitchen at home.

the result:
The finished DVD includes 'Design & Functionality' plus bonus features including an easy to follow demonstration of one of Paul's favourite dishes and a recipe to print out and keep.

Versions of the DVD were created for mail out, and a limited edition version was delivered in a brushed aluminium tin.
