Business video solutions

The myriad of business video solutions available to companies is growing exponentially.
Apart from the traditional fayre of business videos which have clear commercial messages such as Documentaries, Product videos, Customer testimonials, Event videos, Advertising and In-store videos; brands are now producing web videos which do not have an obvious corporate message but are designed to inform, amuse, spark conversations and ultimately, be shared.
The ultimate goal of a lot of this online marketing has been to capture the zeitgeist that causes a web video go viral.
But a new form of commercial production is emerging. Branded entertainment – or sponsored content. Creatives are producing the kind of programmes that you would expect to see on TV – sitcoms, dramas and lifestyle shows starring celebrities. The brand is not the subject matter but is seen in the credits or on the channel. An example of this is the Fosters Youtube Channel, which sponsored an entire new series of the extremely popular Alan Partridge show. Now home to other popular comedy shows, and with over 1.5 million channel views, this is a ‘TV’ channel in the traditional sense, giving fans the content they want to watch, all packaged in the Foster’s brand.
As TVs become web enabled, viewers will soon be able to watch web videos on their TV sets with the Apple TV box and the soon to be launched Google TV. TV advertising, which is still regarded as the most effective form of advertising will no longer be the sole domain of large brands with deep pockets.
So it’s not just the range of content that is being produced as business video solutions but also the channels and platforms used for delivery.
Magazines now have digital versions for tablet users and businesses can harness this technology to bring their brochures to life. Where once there was a static image, you’ll now find beautiful motion graphics that users can interact with. This new presentation tool allows businesses to instantly update their brochures ensuring that all sales teams have up to date product information without any of the printing costs traditionally associated with any such update.

And the change from static to moving images is not confined to the living room.
Outdoor advertising is increasingly video advertising. With ever cheaper hardware, static billboards are becoming moving images.
But you don’t even need to invest in video screens to create a moving billboard…augmented reality will soon transform how we interact with brands on the move.
Augmented reality turns inanimate objects like a billboard, a business card, a T-shirt into a 3D video screen and show product videos. Now pretty much any visual has the potential to be a moving image.
The content of adverts will no longer be confined to the size of the ad space.
This is essentially a convergence of the internet and outdoor – it’s a whole new virtual 3D internet.
Businesses can now target and reach more customers with their video ads in more ways than ever before, giving their customers the information they want instantly, wherever they are.
The possibilities for business video solutions are endless.
